Being a mom made you a Jill-of-all-trades playing roles such as nanny, all-around household helper, teacher, confidant, and on numerous occasions, a party planner. Of course, if you have a 24/7 job to keep on top of the party planning duties, it will take huge amounts of effort to keep both duties running smoothly. And apart from saving on bucks, it will be one big fulfillment on your part to be able to organize your child’s birthday party by yourself.
Of course you cannot do it entirely on your own, you needed all the help you can get and as much volunteer on board to make the event a rousing success. You also need to find suppliers of goods and party needs that will be able to deliver and give product fulfillment, and more importantly order fulfillment, in your own terms. Get your friends, especially your child’s godparents to volunteer to make a checklist of all the activities, or your photo enthusiast brother to take care of all the photography come the big event. If you can, assign someone to oversee the whole event, too, on the day itself, so you can focus only entertaining the guests and making a memorable birthday celebration for your little one.
