(Guest post written by my buddy Lavern Small)

I can only imagine what it’s like to be in my sister’s shoes. She and her husband got divorced last year and he’s been really slacking on his child support payments so she’s being tasked with raising their three kids all by herself which is really challenging at the end of the day. It’s expensive to have so many kids so I’ve been helping out by bringing over dinner when I can and I even went to a cool website a few months ago so they could get all the games they had been missing since they had to move out of the old house. I love my nephews but I know this has been a hard time for all of them and I want to help how I can. There’s a fine line between what my sister will see as charity, though, and what she’ll see as patronizing so I don’t want her to get the wrong impression of what I’m trying to do for she and her family. At least she has got a life insurance quote so her family will always be taken care of.
